Miss Marble’s table top is manufactured out of Portuguese marble and is held in place by elegant and lean table legs. A traditional carpentry detail of the rounded corners confer Miss Marble its extraordinary appearance. The turned wooden legs are fastened in the frame through a plug connection, thus stabilizing the frame of the table. Simultaneously the legs are held in place through the weight of the stone slab. In this design, two very contrasting materials come together creating a harmonic composition. The delicate grain and veining of the Portuguese marble meets the reddish wood of the checker tree – a rare leaf tree of European origin. The name Miss Marble lays focus upon the precious Rosso Portogallo marble, quarried on the Iberian Peninsula.
