The Shell bathtub is made of genuine, hand-polished and oiled walnut. It is carved from a solid block of aromatic walnut using a precision CNC milling machine. The final form is refined, polished and oiled by hand many more times. With extremely high precision and a great love of detail, this concept is at the edge of what is possible – a wood bathtub can not be made any more delicate. The exacting production process includes precise positioning of every corner and curve, and the ergonomic optimisation of every radius and incline – including for use by two people. The sophisticated drain and overflow lie flush with the surface of the bathtub, disappearing into its form. The atmospheric and warm wood produces an exceptionally aesthetic enjoyment.
